RAM suggestions for 965 C3

Thread Starter
Hello, I was considering upgrade my RAM. Right now I have 4 sticks of WP160UX4G from Supertalent, that would be 8 GB @ 1600 MHz CL8.
I want to move to 16 GB, but I´m kinda lost between brands and if I should go for 1333 MHz CL7, since most of the models I found at 1600 are CL9. What kind of memory would my CPU benefit most of?

I had OC´d the CPU/NB to take advantage of the 1600 MHz of my current memory.

Can you guys help me out with this?

Edit: I am looking for a low profile memory or without heat sink.

Either buy the same thing you already have, or buy a decent generic 1600 CL9 and set it manually at CL8. It will save you money, and performance will be good.
If you decide to do that last thing, don't buys Corsair Vengeance, they often can't drop the timings.

Patriot AMD stuff is "famous" for frequently failing specs, so I'd just suggest you buy four 4Gb sticks of Samsung OEM memory, which has plenty of headroom to work at DDR3-1600 with CL8 or even CL7.

Isn't it expensive?
From what i understood, he seeks to Add to his RAM, not totally replace it?

Even if the new sticks can do CL7, he won't be able to utilize that, since the old can't. Just thoughts.. smile.gif

Sam is correct. I want to get rid of the Supertalent´s..... Im tired of those massive heatsink just for fashion....
You are the second person who recommends me the Samsung memory, I will do a quick market research to see if I can get them in my country. So far, I have in mind the HyperX Genesis.... (KHX1600C9D3K2/8G) since there are easy to get here.... but I´m open to criticism. It will help me a lot.

Also, i´m doing some research to get these ones:
