MS Office SFF-Box VS Intel's NUC?

Would MS Office 2010 run on an Intel Atom, or do I need something faster?

Atom dualcore with HT:

Intel NUC:

Or a I3 dualcore i3 ITX setup?

No clue on the Intel NUC price?

Would this Atom dualcore w/HT run PowerPoint?

Yes, an Intel Atom can run MS Office. Will it run Office well? IDK. Kind of depends on what the user's expectations are and what they are coming from previously.

If a Core i3 is in the budget, go for it. Something else that may improve the user experience is using an SSD.

That Intel NUC will probably be expensive because it looks as if it uses some ultra low wattage mobile CPU.

If you want cheap, go for this AMD E-350 for $60 with free shipping and free 8GB RAM. It is much cheaper, can handle more RAM, has USB 3.0, similar CPU performance. One possible drawback is that it will make some noise with the 40mm cooling fan.

Alternately, go for an ITX board with a desktop Core i3.

Wife's Office_Box

Intel Core i3-3225 w/ HD4000 for $144 (LINK)

Intel Core i3-3220 w/ HD2500 for $129(link)

Wife dose play arcade/indy games. But looking at getting an Xbox, Xbox will also be used as media playback. Im looking at two ITX builds now, my system will be handling the media streaming.
