I hear that. Haven't bought a single HDD since that flood. Just reshuffled/deleted data until I had some free space biggrin.gif

All good - I've been there. smile.gif
I'm pretty sure you either divide the disk into 2 or more partitions or use GPT (GUID Partition Table) instead.

Had some issues with my main WD storage drive so went and bought a 4TB DeathDeskstar 4K, that was ~$270. Not saying they have anything on the WD Blacks, but that's quite a premium.

Cool that they are releasing one, definitely a bit pricey at release but if they come down to a respectable figure they will be right on.

If you start needing to store 4tb+ you should probably have it in a RAID configuration anyway unless it isn't valuable. Just the amount of time to restore that amount of info from a backup or otherwise would probably take a while if it wasn't RAIDed.

Ahhh, I remember seeing that in Disk Management now, never used it ofc, none of my drives are over 2TB.

I have 500GB and 1TB Deskstars, some of my oldest drives and haven't failed me yet smile.gif
