Dominator Platinum watercooling? - Page 2

There's no point to watercool RAM (or chipsets) other than for looks. You're just adding necessary heat and flow restrictions to the loop.

I think the whole point of Platinum series is for the unique heatspreader. If it wasn't for that, I'd be choosing different sticks. tongue.gif

So the stock heat spreaders are very nicely intsalled and would leave them on. I'M going to have to see if Corair with put the stock ones back on if they would ?

yah... i forgot to post back here with y findings... the LEDs do get in the way of universal waterblocks... best of luck with Corsair

first, this is true most of the time, but when you are using very high density and high clocked RAM, WC can help (though it isnt much) and same deal with certain chipsets... that said, im WCing my RAM and Mobo just for aesthetics, so stop raging... absolutely none of your posts were helpful or even necessary

also, i decided to go with G.Skills as they seem to have similar potential and were majorly cheaper.

There is nothing aesthetic about water cooling ram it looks bulky, out of place and adds restriction.

Enjoy either way though..
