Is it possible to have GTX 670 FTW SLI water cooled?

Thread Starter
Within the next two years or so (however long it takes to get a job and earn $2500), I'm going to make the big jump and buy myself a good computer. What I have right now is okay, but it's going to be outdated pretty quickly. I figured it's going to be time to upgrade soon.

I've been perusing around these forums and watching endless videos about water cooling and I can safely say water cooling is something that I would want to do with my next PC. It looks like a lot of fun. I think I can manage it, but I need some help, so I signed up for this forum. Unfortunately I'm not really sure where to post it, but I would like someone to explain to me the steps I need to go though and the parts I need to buy for my future build. I'm just going to leave this query here and hope that maybe someone will get around to helping me.

Here are the specs that I'm looking at (feel free to advise me to buy different parts; I'm not set in stone yet):

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
PSU: Enermax Platimax 850 W
CPU: Intel i7-3770K
GPU: GTX 670 FTW (x2 in SLI)
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengence (x2 8GB)
Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT

So, all the exposition aside, this is my first obstacle:
Is it possible to have two 670 FTW's water cooled by a novice?

I've seen the Arctic Accelero Hybrid GPU cooler before, but I think I would rather have an entire loop set up through the system, so it goes through the CPU and GPU. Is there a version of the 670s that include a water block like the GTX 580 classified so that I can easily water cool it in SLI?

I'm sorry, maybe I should have said "Can anyone show me some examples of this?" rather than "Does this exist?"
Nevertheless, can I still have some elaboration?

When you get the money, pick up two of the best reference version you feel fit of the line of GPU and toss a water block on them. All you need is a decent set of screw drivers and good thermal paste and replacing the cooler with a water block is pretty easy. Their are many different adapters and fittings for water cooling, but if you want you could just use barbs for cost saving. Same performance really. For tubing you can ether use cheap pvc tubing from any hardware store, or get the more expensive branded PC water cooling oriented gear. You can pick up a XSPC like the raystorm 750 and then just add it a single 120mm on the rear in-between the CPU and GPU line. Just get a case that has room for a 360mm rad, a Haf X would work but your case you pick out isn't vary water cool friendly. Though if I was water cooling I would get a 7950 or 7970 IMO, though by the time you get money together the 8970 would probably be out or event the 780.

Yes it is possible to watercool and by a novice as well.
If you mean like the GTX 680 Hydro Copper then no I don't think EVGA has made a 670 Hydro Copper version which already has a waterblock and you just run tubes. Only for GTX 680 for now, and if you want to watercool the 670 you need to get a waterblock.

Can you please explain why this case isn't water cooling friendly? I've seen a few builds online that look just fine with water cooling in this case. Granted, they may not have the gi-normous radiator that you've linked, but I'm not going to be doing any extreme overclocking. I just want water cooling in case I want to do a little extra voltage here and there.

Granted, they may not have the gi-normous radiator that you've linked, but I'm not going to be doing any extreme overclocking. I just want water cooling in case I want to do a little extra voltage here and there.

From what it looks like you can mount a 240 rad on the roof and a 240 rad on the bottom across from the PSU. You will also have the option of mounting a radiator external off the back of the case.

If you are going to water cool dual 670 ftw's which i also own you would want at least a 360 rad to cool them.

You are right.
2 GTX 670 and 3770K the least you need is a 60mm thick 360 rad with a powerful D5 pump too cool those components and you might also need a 240 rad in the bottom. So choose a case that will accommodate those rads for example a NZXT Switch 810, NZXT Phantom 820

Yeah, definitely possible... unless I, among others, have broken some laws or something, lol.
