Is it possible to have GTX 670 FTW SLI water cooled? - Page 2

If you are going to water cool dual 670 ftw's which i also own you would want at least a 360 rad to cool them.

Would mouning a 240 rad on the front bottom, the top of the case, and another externally be sufficient for the SLI 670s and the CPU? And if so, how would I do an external radiator?

That would be more than sufficient. 670s don't need much rad space at all, they don't really put out much heat.

Really you only need a 120mm rad for each component. He could do everything on a single 360mm rad if he wanted to. Or using two 240m rad's would be fine

My 670 ftw's never seen anything passed 45C in any game max so with just 2 240 rads you would be fine like mentioned above.

X2 -

For a low profile but high performance approach.

Or -

These are thicker but full copper so they should perform a little better but are more expensive.

Well, I don't know when I'll be able to get a job, so I may get the computer as soon as next December. No idea how long yet, but it's going to be under 2 years. I believe that with this computer I won't have to worry about upgrading for a long time because I don't see anything requiring so much computing power that this would only run things at low or medium settings. I think there's a point where graphics can't reliably get any better and still be commercially viable.
In any case there isn't any way to tell, however, if I stick with my current PC I will almost assuredly be outmoded by the time I could have gotten my new computer. I don't think there is a whole lot of choice in the matter.

With ultra high density displays coming, yes, you will want more graphical power in the future. I only suspect my GPUs to last me two years at most really.

The introduction of new consoles will also play a massive role in that decision as well.

One more thing: is 850 watts enough to power all of this water cooling in addition to the parts I already have selected?
