phenom works great for gaming but not fast enough for premier imo.
either go with an FX and clock it to 4.2ghz or go with i5.

adobe cs6 also supports gpu acceleration with opencl if you will go for ATI

@ qzyxya

This 500W PSU will give you 456W @ +12V, so if you're gonna for OC, this is IMO too low.
If you'd like to have decent performance under PPro just think about more than 1 HDD.

@ edalbkrad

Windows version of Premiere Pro does not support OpenCL now, only CUDA.

Do then what power supply should I get 600w?

Maybe one of these XFX's 650W - both are Seasonic inside:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=xfx+650w

I have the non-modular one: it has very strong line +12V at 636W.

Remember, that GTX 660 only will take ~150W under it's full load.

What does modular even mean? Should I get a modular one or a non modular one? Also, I really have no idea how many watts my ssystem will use. This will be my first build. Will 650 be enough? How much will the cpu and ram and all take up?

Real 600-650W will be more than enough for your OC'ed system (FX-83x0 + GTX 660) - take into the consideration PSU's efficiency, full load and capacitors aging, plus think about future upgrades smile.gif

Holy crap I just found the 3770k for $220 at micro center. Would that be much better than the 8320?

Nothing beats 3770K for $220. It is the best bang/buck if you live near a microcenter.
