Awesome! The 3rd will give you that edge for a well round setup in 1440 surround. You sold the 7950s?
Switched two 7950s with blocks for a used 690 (Dude who got them wanted to WC and gave him a good deal)

Each card costs with all ek gear about $420 ($840 for both) So both parties got a good deal. The other two I am trying to sell by the end of the month if nobody takes them I am gonna take out the blocks and sell them on air.

Now I am stuck with 690 that needs to be liquidiated biggrin.gif

I noticed something on the nvidia cards... everything seems.... fluid? Only noticed it last night when I was playing BF3.

Found out my bank decided to withhold my refund since its "unusual activity". I had worked at a bank in the past so I know its pretty common practice until the origin of the money is verified as legitimate. Going to talk to them further and hope they can release it soon. I did explain to them its tax season but they said (and i totally understand) its automated generated and it applies to all customers. Once the bank releases my funds, its just down to ordering the last bits.

I can understand why you would want that case once you have it no matter what system you put in you have the rad space, I did look at the xspc h series cases but to pricey for my budget

I had a couple of buyers lined up but in the end they fell through. I'm just gonna keep her. Talked to the bank, they should be releasing the funds shortly (maybe by Tuesday morning). I talked to my sis (works for banking security industry) and says some banks will do that if its a larger then usual influx of money. I have a seller lined up for some gpu(s). just gonna be a few more days.

Done with the midplate mods. A bit of blood, sweat, and toil to get em done and I'm happy with the result. Now the plexi I bought was more maluable then what I usually get. The hole saw was a total bust and just melted the plexi. I eye-balled a few pilot holes and went at with the wood bit and it came very nice (piece of 2x4 at the bottom to support it and avoid chipping the exit wound). Its a bit heavier but just in mock it I could feel how stiffer it was compared to before:

edit: as you can see, I didn't go for a bunch of holes to avoid loosing structural rigidity.

That should be it for this weekend. Got lots of family events that will keep the family busy smile.gif
