[Build Log] Monstas Inside! (Monsta rads, custom MM case, Titan SLI) - Page 41

Dual Titans perform better than a single 690 any resolution, and it better since you're paying 2 grand while a 690 is right at 1,000. Lol tongue.gif
I think the triple 1920x1200 in portrait is gonna be pretty sick, and those dual 690's will push it real nice.

Let me rephrase. Dual 690 vs SLI Titan... Titans wins at higher res. I think dual 690 wins at lower res. Im not 100% I just remember reading that somewhere.

Well I don't wanna turn his log into a flame war....but technically dual 690's is 4 individual cores while dual Titans is only 2...that's a lot more power and even with the argument that a 690 would run out of memory at high resolutions, it's rare that it happens and it's gotta some thing really out there like triple 1600p.
Once you start going 3-4 Titans against dual 690's the tables are turned....but then again you're paying 3,000-4,000 dollars for those Titans, they better outperform!

Titans will edge out 690s when pushing more then 1200 Surround. For a single monitor or triple 1080/1200 a lot of the results show 690s still holding a lead.

i got my two 690s with blocks for well under the cost of two titans (sans blocks). Can't complain tbh. Used the save money and splurged on some Dell 1200 ips monitors. Better then spending twice as much to get three perfect Korean 1440. And its Dell, so i have a nice safety cushion to fall on (warranty and support).

Monitors are coming from AZ, so I hope the seller already shipped them.

Block will be in today. Any one interested, i ended up with an extra Koolance GTX 690 block. Hit me up if you're interested in it.

FurryLetters pulled through with their fast shipping. Amazon has yet to ship my R4s. I'm going to re-sleeve some of the cables and re-do the ones w/ the nasty stock see-through sleeve. Nothing exciting but hey, its something smile.gif

Koolance 690 block arrived. Very nice looking. Though its for sale smile.gif

edit: glad i no longer will use paracord. Stuff is just too finicky to work with tbh.

The one sitting horizontally? It happens when it sits like that and on FrozenQ helix reservoirs, you get them on the helix'.

I haven't gotten a reply from Alex to order a second one. In the mean time, I'm still juggling the idea to sell the Koolance res and top and keep my 35x. Also, I'm ready to ditch the dye, its staining stuff and its a pita to clean it up. Also, buyers of preowned water stuff are getting very picky of having stains on their stuff. Just gonna switch to good old distilled. Will also make the bay reservoirs stand out more.
