Got a couple of small changes coming up. I still haven't gotten around to order the second reservoir since FrozenQ has been uber busy. I don't want to bother Alex with my special requests redface.gif. Once they seem to be steady again, I'll order it. Since I'll have some down time, I might as well tackle some wire-management. Also, my psu is acting funny or it could be my mb (frown.gif).

I would think it was titan time wermad????

i think ive got a ssd failing, and that gets fitted early in the build! rolleyes.gif

Well, you can say its more of a "sidegrade" biggrin.gif. Might change my mb and platform though. Need something a bit better to push my SB or just switch to SB-E. So that's a definite upgrade possibility. Also, the rig my "downsize" since I really have too much case and cooling (blasphemy at ocn!??!?!?!?!? biggrin.gif). I'm thinking of redoing my office/man-cave desk w/ some better wood for the tops (cheap compressed particle laminated board sucks). Helps out since our home is pretty decently sized and with the new baby, room is much needed. A huge MM case can be replaced with some like a HAF- XB kookoo.gif

Under two months tongue.gif. Quad is a quirky thing. It works wonders sometimes, its perplexing some other times. One 690 on its own is magical. Two, its a bit challenging to tango and to really put to use all four cores (scaling "efficiency-effective"). It was this or going triple 680 4gbs. The opportunity presented itself and I wanted to see what all the gtx 685 excitement was about biggrin.gif. Quad 690s was very epic but I never really put them to good use (benching). I really needed more vram on some games and better scaling of all cores. I'm tossing the idea of selling most if not all the major components of my loop and this huge case. With the money, i can buy a 3rd....eek.gif. Then again, the scaling is said to be very minimal and really begs the question is it worth another $1k (and the wife kicking my butt redface.gif). Nvidia seems to be focusing more on two and at very least three way scaling in real world usage. Tbh, I really wasn't making the second 690 any justice in my build. Someone who needs something more powerful then a single gtx 685, with awesome temps, and great two-way scaling will have a blast with this card. It kinda is like having two g/f (quad 690s) at the same time (in theory mind you wink.gif). Sure its awesome and epic. But in the end, its easier to stay and deal with one. For me, I dumped (in theory biggrin.gif) both and went with a red-head (theory!) hotty biggrin.gif. Should i tempt faith again and mess around with a 3rd....biggrin.gif. Lol, my analogies are weird tongue.gif

Well I'm sure they will be beautiful! wink.gif

I would love to go with a 7990 for my build but I've spent a lot of time and money on my backplates so I'm just going to stick with the dual 7970's.

Lol no room. My top radiator covers my front panel connectors and last PCIe slot. Not to mention make the tubing run would be impossible haha. I would love to though...

Two 7990s it is then biggrin.gif

Waiting on delivery (probably next week) of my 685s. Was gonna order some backplates and EK's new "Terminal" bridge system but ppcs.com doesn't have the blank to cover the middle port. I'm going w/ the EVGA backplates since they're a bit cheaper and they look better imho. Also, tossing the idea of getting a 3rd if the HardOcp review is evident of great scaling in 3-way vs 2-way. The initial reviews had it sucking paint in 3-way for most games vs 2-way (and sometimes single!). Driver maturity is helping as it seems. Anyways, if the 3rd is a go, I'll need to round up some cash and so that might, might! mean selling a few (or many) bits of this build (non major components). Still, can't wait for the two Titans to see how it goes. Btw, I can feel the Titan "love" already (rolleyes.gif).
