This log is done!

Pulled the trigger on this little guy:

Lots of cooling parts and the case will be on for sale soon. Rather use the extra money for projects around the home. I really don't need a huge case and three monstas for two gpus and a cpu (redface.gif).

Thanks! The HAF-XB don't get a lot of love sometimes. I've been wanting one for a while. Since I'm running two very low heat producing Titans, a SB, and one ssd, it made sense to down size. Plus, I need the money for other things. Will earn me some kudos points with the missus and maybe a 3rd Titan will be dropped in biggrin.gif.

Nice and thanks! I was thinking of getting it through the CM (refurb) with the additional window top panel. But, I just went with new and newegg had the mir still going. It just shipping today and crossing my fingers it arrives tomorrow. Then again, i have no mb (shipped to rma) to use frown.gif.

I've been a huge fan of huge cases but Nvidia's Kepler (including Titan) proves that massive cooling is becoming passe. One Monsta 480mm is gonna be more then enough for my setup, even if I toss in another Titan down the road.

Thinking of getting a Phobya 480mm stand, a few Koolance QDCs, and some more bits. I'm going to keep her stock since i want to start gaming on the Titans and not spend extra time modding it. Now, to the hard part of selling the case. The two remaining Monstas have been claimed. Just need to sell off the FrozenQ bay reservoirs (might keep one biggrin.gif). Since the HAF-XB was not too expensive and I have all the parts ready, should be pretty simple and putting together (and might not need a log). Got some good news from ebay, they refunded me my money for the os i bought (key was bad).

OK, well I am totally confused.gif about the decision to go directly from that ridiculously massive MM case to the HAF XB but hey - more power to ya!

I can certainly understand not wanting a case THAT big all the time - but I think you should be worried about getting whiplash from that big a change in direction! biggrin.gif

Not at all smile.gif

I did get some backlash from some ppl not liking it but hey, not looking to win over the world wink.gif. When i started off with quad 580s, I wouldn't have an issue with the case and massive cooling. Eventually, going down to two very cool 690s and then two cooler Titans, it made sense to move on. Plus I needed the cash for some things in life.

The HAF XB is working out great. Once you start putting her together, it gets full right away but I managed to get all my main gear inside. I used all my existing wc hardware to plumb up the rad on the rear. Which, in it self is a great accomplishment as I refrained from the impulse of buying more hardware for this new case. I did end up buying some backplates for the Titans but that was something I had already planned. After a while, you end up with many bits and pieces that come in handy later on. Lastly, it won me some kudos with the wife. Might get the nod for a project car (which has been on my to do list for a long, long time smile.gif).

Btw, the beasty MM case has found a new home and adventure thumb.gif
