[Updated 31 Jan 13] SystemCompute v0.5.7.2 - Page 9

Cheers TD smile.gif
v0.5.2 update : adjusted the 2D/3D AMP to be *a lot* faster. 2D by a factor 10x. Hopefully this means the PCIe bus speed requirement is lowered and the program scales better with GPU perf

Cool. When will this be released?

I want to get multi-GPU wrapped in for the next release.

CPU i7-3770k @ 3.9
GPU Quad SLI GTX 690
RAM 16GB CL9 @ 2133

Two reasons:
a) This benchmark is only geared for one GPU at the minute, so it's only taking one of your 690 dies on one card.
b) This version of the benchmark loves PCIe speed. Depending on your motherboard, you'll either be running at x16/x16 or x8/x8 per card, then each GPU in the card will effectively get half that, meaning either x8 or x4. So far in testing, it turns out that PCIe 3.0 x16 is best, with as much BCLK to help boost PCIe speed. Though this requirement may change in a later version.

Gave it a go with my set up , though i never saw gpu use rise above 54%.

GTX580 @ 782Mhz
Ram @1600Mhz

CPU = 69729
AMP = 59030
Total = 59486

Important point to realise is that not every mathematical calculation stresses every bit of the GPU. These are essentially 'real world' scientific schema used in research today, rather than algorithms designed to stress every part of the GPU. If those algorithms are PCIe limited, or memory limited, then you'll find GPU usage will not be 100% and there will be some other limiting factor.

Edit: This is the GPU usage on my GTX560 of the latest version. The latest version uses a scaling system to find the best grid size/particle ratio for your GPU.

Oddly, it looks like I'm the first second one with a 2500k! (missed one first time I read through lol.)

Your right when you say CPU is not much of the score. Going from 4.5 to 5.2ghz only added about 2,000 points. rolleyes.gif Not sure how some of you get your scores as my 670 was running at 1411mhz, but for some reason not 100% usage or power...

Having a high BCLK > a high CPU multiplier in this benchmark - also having good memory timings also helps a lot smile.gif Just one of the oddities of v0.4 whereby a good PCIe speed and memory bandwidth is vital smile.gif So PCIe 3.0 > PCIe 2.0, and BCLK all the way

The question that begs to be asked...

Why is my AMP score greater than higher overclocked 7970s?
