I am very excited to share with you what I got today.
One day I walked into my teacher's room and saw this beatiful piece just lying around not even connected nor used.
So I asked my teacher whether it is defect or why it is not used. He said we got "newer" stuff. In response, I asked if I could have it then and he said he had to ask the principal first. this was weeks ago. Today I got a response and here it is: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I apologize for my crappy phone camera quality.
I am not quite sure, but is this the nototious Model M? Anyway, I love it!
It is quite dusty and has lots of dirt in between the keys. Do you know any particular method to clean such a keyboard (especially keycaps and the case)?
Thanks in advance.
So far,

p.s.: This was typed on it and luckily all keys function perfectly. <3

Looks like someone have hit the jackpot!

I cant believe that your school just gave it away, those go for 50$-150$ on ebay.

To clean it, just remove the keycaps and rub it with some warm water.

Yeah. Being an enthusaist pays off, l0l. In fact, they're going to throw them away, because new equipment's been ordered.
Yes, I was quite lucky! <3

Pictures added. Might not look like a whole lot of an improvement on the pictures, but I guarantee you, it is in real life. Ask my fingers. Ugh...

Yea that's a really nice find I personally got an IBM KB-7953 from the dump and although it uses rubber domes instead of mechanical key switches it still feels great to type on. I guess all IBM keyboards are just awesome biggrin.gif

The build quality is very high (like, you could beat a man to death with it high) and for most people it is the "original" (not necessarily the first) mechanical keyboard that enthusiasts fell in love with.
