Looking for motherboard that is easy to setup and overclock

Hi,
This is my first post and my third build ever so please pardon any stupid-ish questions.

I bought an AMD FX6300 cpu and looking for suggestions on a MB that is reliable, straightforward to install and update, and is fairly simple to overclock. It will be used quite a bit for HD video editing and some games.

I just returned a Gigabyte 990FX because I couldn't even load the CD and customer support just directed me to a link that didn't do much either for me at my low skill level. I would prefer not using Gigabyte if possible.
I did have good success with ASRock in the past. and open to other brands as well.

One note on OS. I bought and tried Windows 8 and a classic shell program and just don't want or need the extra
"whatever" it supposed to offer so I will again be purchasing Windows 7 64.

I hope to be able to ask more "how to" questions once I get the MB and graphics card and RAM.
Feel free to make any suggestions on anything else.

Btw, I have a CoolerMaster 212 from my other build.

Thanks in advance,

Al

Most to all of the newer mobo has the UEFI BIOS, so you will be on the same boat as before.

First WELCOME to OCN where overkill is not in our vocabulary.

OCing a motherboard is easy. Depending how in depth you want to go with it will depend on you. I use a gigabyte 990fa-ud3 with no problem. The Cd is cheap and worthless anyways. I just went to there site and downloaded the files I needed off there. As far as the OS win7 64 is fine for now unless you really want win8. It does have better stuff in it, but a lot of consumers dislike Metro on a desktop. But if not mistaken win8 offers legacy downgrades to win7 of your choosing. Is it true. I have to go hunting for that info.

Here is a link for some info on how to FX OCing.
