Vista RTM upgrade works from Vista RC2 Desktop

WAS able to update from RC2 to Vista RTM from Vista itself. I tried it for fun and I was surprised that it actually works. It takes more than an hour to finish up but it does the job in the end.
Just for a comparison it takes about twenty-five minutes to install a clean version of Vista RTM on a machine.

It was funny to update the operating system and to be able to use the abilities of Aero glass and flip the Windows all the time. This doesn’t speed up the installation process but it certainly makes it more fun

I installed the RTM version this weekend and haven't found any issues with it so far, but all I have is office, nero & trillian running. I have found it to be much more responsive than the earlier version that I tried.

The RTM version surprisingly runs faster then XP it seems... and it accepted my keyboard. woohoo.

It runs great, boots super fast, and hasn't crashed on me yet.

Which is why I will be getting a copy

Too many flames against Microsoft and their products; give them a break, they aren't THAT bad! Just imagine how many lines of code make up Windows

People who own a subscription to MSDN have access to a RTM version of Vista (and all other OS's). As stated earlier (in a different thread) these copies are only for development purposes only. I work from home developing MS solutions so I have a subscription to MSDN. You are not allowed to use your company's subscription or someone else that you know. Just like a retail license is only for one person, a subscription is only for one person. Any talk of using subscription software that isn't your own is considered piracy.
