Doing that should enable GPU Physx. It did for me on my laptop tongue.gif

I'll give that a try. The Nvidia Control Panel thinks it is running (it lets me select the 680 as the Physx processor). I just need something that will show obviously better performance with GPU Physx so I can decide whether it's a GPU-z issue or not. Maybe I need to download 3DMark - does that use GPU Physx? I've never checked.

I'm using the portable version, and I've tried about three different versions. They all do the same thing. If I install the new 310 betas then GPU-Z won't even load.

Edit: FluidMark was a good idea. It won't let me pick GPU Physx, it says CPU Physx only, so I guess it's not just a GPU-Z issue. I tried a clean install of the Nvidia drivers, and tried both version of the Physx software but no change. So I guess now I just need to wait for a new WHQL and see if that helps - the betas 310s don't work for me.

So it appears to be software related. I did a fresh Windows install on a spare drive, installed the WHQL drivers, and GPU-Z and Fluidmark both showed GPU Physx. SO now I just need to figure out what is borking it on my current install.

Edit: Finally figured it out. I have a USB monitor attached (with DisplayLink) and whenever that is connected, Nvidia kindly disables Physx. If I unplug that monitor, then it works fine. So, I'm assuming there is a way to disable that "feature" and let Phsyx work with a second display adapter in the system?
