Nothing. Just a differentiator.

Here's the breakdown of the different versions.

SP120 Quiet Edition
* Interchangeable colored rings
* Advanced Hydraulic Bearings
* Rubberized corners for noise dampening
* Maximum 1450 RPM

SP120 High Performance Edition
* Interchangeable colored rings
* Advanced Hydraulic Bearings
* Rubberized corners for noise dampening
* Maximum 2350 RPM

SP120L (H60 edition)
* No noise dampened corners
* No colored rings
* Same impeller, housing design
* Higher torque motor for improved static pressure
* PWM control
* Maximum 2000 RPM

SP120L (H80i / H100i edition)
* No noise dampened corners
* No colored rings
* Same impeller, housing design
* Higher torque motor for improved static pressure
* Maximum 2700 RPM

In the future we're looking at offering PWM versions of all the different fans, it helps with noise control.

hmmm not bad....but i would like to see how it goes against the big guns like NZXT Kraken X60, Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme and that unique Coolermater Eisberg but one thing for sure air coolers are now under jeopardy

Just a quick clarification on the "grinding issue". It has been confirmed on the corsair forums that the grinding noise is stemming from an issue with the fans operating on low speeds with the integrated fan controller, not the pump this time.
