On the highest settings? 25 fps average. On highest expect msaa at 2x? 40-55.

No proof, he doesn't show settings. I run 45 FPS average now, everything maxed expect msaa on 2x.. Dips to 40 as most so far. Sounds bout right, or?
http://www.sweclockers.com/artikel/16210-grafikprestanda-i-far-cry-3/2#pagehead. I'm so happy now.. I get around that FPS, even higher time to time. I am surprised about how many liars there are out there saying that they get with 8x msaa 70 FPS, hell, 7970 got 30 fps and GTX 680 about the same.

So what details do you prefer for Gtx 680 and 3770k? Maxed ultra with HDAO,HBAO and what level of MSAA?

The benchmark says with HBAO and 4x msaa, with no transparency AA you can get 43-47 FPS with 3960k as processor.. I prefer HDAO with maxed transparency AA but 2x msaa instead of four, with about the same performance.

So far, mind you I only played for an hour or so, but with a GTX 680 lightning, i7 3770k @ 4.2ghz and 16 gb of Samsung ram at 8-8-8-24, with all on game settings at their highest, v-sync to 1, frames to buffer at 5 (I assumed that would be more stressful) and using high quality ambient occlusion through Nvidia Inspector, I haven't seen it dip under 55 fps. I'm kinda new to this stuff so idk how to prove it if I need to, but I am using the 310.64 beta.
If there are any nvidia inspector settings I should change for a better image/stress test tell me and I'll validate however I do that.

Edit: The foliage in trees seems excessively weak to me, any idea how to buff it up? The leaves are essentially 2D.

I think you are using directx9 man, that explains it all. Because considering all the benchmarks and now this newest one showing 45 average FPS not even on near maxed on a 3960k and gtx 680, I don't believe you do run on highest settings, maybe with directx9.

Just tried the game with Dx11, ultra and 8MSAA and my fps is 70-80. How is my fps so good when it clearly shows that it's running on dx11 on ultra? I also have the newest beta drivers.

Thats must be some setting or bug or something because from the benchmarks we've seen with 680, you get 40-50 FPS with ALL maxed 4XAA, is it showing DX11 in the OSD[Onscreen display for Afterburner or precision] or just in the game?

I didn't notice that I was running it from dx9 shortcut and not from dx11 shortcut, but in game it still showed that it was running in dx11. Now it's running all maxed out and 2MSAA on 60 frames solid on dx11 biggrin.gif

Now when I play I can't get more than 75fps, anywhere. My GPU usage won't go above 55% and temps stay down in the 60's. I haven't made any changes to anything. Anyone know how I can make this game use the GPU power available to it? what is it with these kepler cards throttling back the power?

Is it possible that the earlier scenes in the game wasn't as taxing as where you are now?  Can you go back to the beginning and see if you can repeat what you noticed earlier?

The game is unplayable for me i get this strange stuttering and input lag, I've tried changing , HBAO ,SSAO , HDAO , V sync , buffered frames , SLI profile/vomp bits in NV inspector , DX9/DX11 but no dice.
Both my GPU's are flat out maxed and i get barely 40 FPS which often dips (2560x1440 Ultra 2xMSAA) and the stutter of course , someone screwed up either the devs or NV.
