This game looks good and all but not crysis 2 good and shouldn't eat up more GPU horsepower than it. No way a GTX680/HD7970 can't get a smooth 60fps at 1080p on a console port.

Yea waaa waaa everything is a console port now a days bro, get over it. Only game that isn't a console port is probably BF3 and Metro 2033 lol.

Again... if you add in 4x or 8x msaa then it shouldn't get 60fps. What you fail to realize is how demanding msaa especially on ultra settings is.

Remember, 4 = 2x2 so 2x as demanding as 2x. 8=4x2 so 2x as demanding as 4x. got it? get it? good.

Crysis looks more realistic. Far cry 3 is based on dunia engine 2. Dunia 1 and 2 is based on cry engine but its heavy modified

Also its preferable to use 4xmsaa because the 8xmsaa dont worth the cost and dont give much better quality.

A good eye may see some differences between 2xmssa and 4xmsaa otherwise for the best performance/quality 2xmsaa is the optimal

Game runs for me around 45-65 fps ( 55 average ) @ 1080p. 2X MSAA , mostly everything on high. Not bad for a 660ti ! thumb.gif

This isnt just a console port, the PC version was done quite decently, it's on par with Crysis 2 HDdx11, even with MaldoHD mods IMO. but it's also a different graphics style so you can't really compare them.

well the difference between 2X,4X nd 8X MSAA in this game is not so much except its fps killer..........2X ,4X is almost as good as 8X MSAA once you start playing

Why do you think the newest beta driver gives 38% extra performance? each driver gets tweaked for the big titles at the moment.
Are you serious? You have little knowledge. Ever heard of CPU bottlenecking? That depends on the coding and the engine. Especially things like MSAA can easily be offloaded to GPUs. As is the case with sleeping Dogs and Max Payne 3. Guild wars 2 is an example of a game that is heavily CPU dependent. Whatever the reasoning behind that i am not sure but the game runs like crap for the majority of users. If the engine/coders chooses to do so CPU limitations can be mitigated to an extent and tasks can be offloaded to another GPU. It's laziness plain and simple. And why are you here defending a software company? Do you own significant amount of Ubi stock?
Seriously little knowledge is dangerous and that is true for you.

I agree...I cant really even see any difference between these settings,....at least when youre moving, which is 99 % of the game.

on a side note - I had a blast last night, I love the randomness of it. I took off on a hang glider, just after it had stopped raining. The night sky was full of stars. I soared over a jeep with some rebels..they got out and opened fire, so I veered away and came to a running skid on a beach, on a small island, which was populated with wild dogs and some freaky-ass giant birds. The dogs attacked me, as did the birds....by the time the fight was over , i was barely alive and almost out of ammo. The dogs did not give a **** about my C4.
I'd like to see that in Crysis ! haaa !

I am defending them because I like their games and they run just fine on my system. I own 0 ubi stock.

Also, are you mad bro? LOL

I am loving all the memory cards you find with drug recipes on them.... LOL!

Just found this beauty...
