I can confirm no fps drops whatsoever with all ultra (postfx disabled) and msaa 2x on a 670. Fps is around 50-60 w/ 4x msaa. Now I just need to decide if 4x msaa is worth the 5-10 fps loss. thumb.gif

How is it, exactly, that you are empirically testing the 'optimization level' of the game? What's your methodology for determining 'optimization'? To me it sounds like you're saying 'I don't as much FPS as I *believe* I should get, therefore the optimization sucks'.
Also, keep in mind that SLI/Xfire operation is *entirely* the responsibility of nVidia/AMD, and the drivers they produce. Games don't know or care about multi-GPU operation, there's no special coding to support these technologies (although the engine at a very simple/basic level has to support AFR ... which they ALL do for the past 7 years or so).
If you're going to complain about SLI performance/operation, put the blame where it belongs ... the people who make the drivers, not the game developers.
Nice. The DOF effect in the screenies on this thread make it look like it's WAY overdone. I always turn DoF off anyways (although some games have a 'low' setting that's acceptable, like Hitman:Absolution). I don't get why I'd want to 'pay' (fps-wise) for a blurry image? Things in the periphery of your view already look blurry just because of how your eyes operate ...

Why don't you just take a chill pill. Take a look at the poll genius. Almost 50% of the people on this thread, the one you are apparently a Moderator of are having issues with the performance of the game.
And all I am doing is affirming so many posts of people that are facing the same problem as I am. What is your concern with that? Last I checked that did not break any rules of the forum. So please focus on your moderation job rather than harping on about legitimate posts dealing with legitimate issues.

As far as optimization goes you ever heard of CPU limitations? That depends on the game code right? Or do you think that is also the prerogative of the card manufacturers? Check out the DSOG and Benchmark3D reviews of FC3 performance. Both sites indicate inappropriate usage of the GPU and lack of optimization generally. Even I posted a screenshot of afterburner on my rig showing under 40% utilization on my GPUs. The game under-utilizes the GPU. Pure and simple. They could easily offload a bunch of tasks to the GPU but due to a bias towards 'console optimisations' they have not. As a result a plethora of PC power is going under utilized and he GPUs are left twiddling their thumbs waiting on the CPU.

And what's your problem if i have an opinion on a developer? Go search the web dude. There are thousands of disgruntled pc users that have a bone to pick with the incessant false statements issued by Ubisoft.

I would urge you to focus on positive moderation rather than baseless statements.

I get similar performance. Do you think that is an example of proper optimization?

Haha I looked in the actual game folder, then I just typed xml in to windows search it was the first result, guess cause its 'F'arcry but anyway yea the postfx disable is awesome no dropping to 45 fps for no apparent reason now.

My OC is stable on my CPU. I am running my cards at stock.
Is there any way to fix Micro stuttering in this game? I have not had it in any others.

Thanks.

I get 40-70 FPS with 2x msaa and gtx 680... You are obviously lying, benchmarks show that 4x msaa but with trasparency AA and SSAO set SSAO gives 43-47 FPS average.
Tried with low on postfx (can't turn it off?) and I still got around 50-60 FPS time to time, so the 50-60 fps with 4xmsaa is a lie, I got 50-60 on 2x.

For those who grabbed an update for the new SLI profile, care to share the bits used?
