Use the hunting syringe (can't remember the name). They walk right up to you with that.

What the hell does Alpha to Coverage do? Didn't notice a difference in Arma, didn't notice a difference in this game, but MAN does it HIT FPS HARD! Seriously, the game looks the same if not more clear without it... what the heck ?

Edit: Ok I wouldn't say HARD, but still, a hard hit for sure, about 10 fps, same scene, 8xmsaa, from 30-31 to 40-42fps..

•Improves performance in Far Cry 3 (up to 25% with 8xMSAA, SSAO enabled @ 1600p, and up to 15% with 8xMSAA, HDAO enabled @1600p) (AMD Catalyst 12.11 CAP2 must also be installed)

Killed it for me.... was on 12.11 beta 8 with xfire 6950, was playable at solid 60 fps but had a really annoying stutter with single or multi gpu but now... can't play at all xfire on or off, stutter in the game is now to the point that it feels like its running at less then 10 fps has anyone got a link to the 12.11 beta 8 drivers it seems that link on amd website does not work anymore would love to be able to enjoy this game but the constant issues with stutter is really annoying.

I installed uPlay, then went to the folder I extracted FarCry3 to, and launched the dx11 version from there. This added FC3 into my uPlay library.
Hope that helps mate thumb.gif

The main issue appeared to be with the PostFX setting. Putting that on low,(gets rid of that crappy background blur) and everything else maxed (msAA @ 4) im hitting consistent 55+ on my 6870x2's (1080p).

Lowest ive seen so far is 42 and that was a bridge getting blown up.

Quick q guys, figured i'd post it here since its all about FC3..

Does the weapons degrade or get destroyed as fast as far cry 2??? Its like you get through 3 clips in far cry 2 and the weapon explodes on your or jams every 3rd shot... Not so in FC3?

Playing the hell out of this game. Really enjoying everything about it. The graphics are gorgeous too.

Settings:
Resolution: 1920x1080p
Graphics: All maxed, DirectX11 + enhanced alpha to coverage, NO MSAA, HBAO enabled.

Frames:
Min: 52
Avg: ~70
Max: 87

If I even attempt to enable any AA, the frames take a massive dive to ~40 so I just leave it off.
