In-game settings-

Usage graphs. Only that last section of Afterburner usage to the right, which is when I spent a minute or two walking around the town, looking straight ahead at everything and everyone the whole time. Framerate never goes below 100fps, around 110-115fps most of the time. If I bumped my 3930k a little more I'd have a smooth 120fps in the town, because as you can see that one core is hitting a full load every now and then. But I'm not going to put anymore voltage through it just to go up ~5fps, after 4.6Ghz it starts needing more voltage for diminishing returns in speed.
So, there must be something wrong with your system, or it's not liking one of the settings you have enabled.
Are you using the default nVidia SLI profile or the other one?

Just default. All I've done as far as drivers and profiles is install 310.64. That's it, nothing more. So, not sure what your problem could be.

I noticed that when I start the game and have the Task Manager open, the game skips every minute like clock-work. Every 60 seconds or so I get a one-second-long freeze, if I open the game with the Task Manager open first. So maybe the game is sensitive to something you're running in the background? Just a wild guess, but who knows. What did you say your framerate was again with SLI enabled? And the usage % on each card? And you don't have a core on the CPU maxing out do you?

Just tried the new drivers. They are messed up!
My FPS constantly switches from 0 to 30. And the screen jumps about. It kind of zooms in and out and all over the place.
Not sure what to make of it. Rolling all the way back!

Seems any i7 does about the same. Good to see CPU not bottlenecking.

For AMD that is a completely different picture, even the latest high-end AMD FX 8350 processor still is not in symbiosis with what the GTX 680 really needs. At 1920x1200 its already 10~15% slower then a Core i7 2600K or 3770K.
When we take the fastest Phenom II X4 processor, the 980BE, we again lose out on performance. Then a very affordable Athlon II X4 645 shows These an average of 43 FPS. These differences are significant alright.

Good to see i7s doing so well. i5s or i7s are the perfect choice for Far Cry 3.

All these SLI and driver issues are really making my wonder if my sig rig is going to be able to run this game with almost everything max'd. Half of you are saying no issues with .64 and the other half are having issues out the wazoo with SLI enabled. Guess im going to find out once i get home and play it when it gets released on Steam.../fingers crossed

Sorry, but you must be doing something wrong, because im getting very nice usage on both GPU's also, my cards arent downclocking. Very pleased with this driver.

Well it's quite possible I'm sure.
I have re installed Far Cry 3 and that has helped. Now I'm just dealing with lock ups. Proper hard lock ups.

Any noticeable difference in framerate when going to this from 310.64? Because the +37% they mention for Far Cry 3 is already gotten in .64, but I noticed there's an updated SLI profile for Far Cry 3 in .70, so, yeah any noticeable difference?

Yes, im seeing better GPU usage. and my cards arent downclocking from what i've seen, im playing with vsync so I cant tell anything about frames but, I recommend installing these drivers.
