Please, graphics pros, help me with this. As I said in my previous post, farcry3_d3d11 gives me bad performance but the normal farcry3 gives me really good performance.. I just don't know if the directx11 is really on on the farcry one, if it works and gives any affect..
first image is 0xmsaa and the 2nd one is 8x msaa.. i can see some difference but i don't know if im just seeing stuff? the 2nd one has got the same fps but slighter higher boost clock.. how do i solve this problem and find out?

In those screens your are not running dx11, im assuming you ran the farcry3 normal exe.. When you say farcry3_d3d11 gives bad performance, what kinda FPS are you getting? DX11 should definitely decrease performance by quite a bit, from those screens.

Got this free with my 7950 purchase, cannot wait to max it out and play it. Looks like a really solid game.

ah you mean in the game you've got directX11 set on and OSD shows direct9 though?, im thinking, it's bug, im assuming you are using the latest far cry 3 patch and nvidia 310.64 drivers?

Yes I am. so the farcry3.exe is not directx11, but only far cry 3 d3d11? frown.gif

I think so, if it says DX9 in the OSD afterburner/precision then it's usually running DX9, I havent got the game but normally when you set something from dx9 to dx11 you need to restart the game for it to work.
35 - 50 is normal for a 680 at 1080p according to nvidia.

Using the most popular gaming resolution, 1920x1080, we maxed out Far Cry 3's many graphics options, selected SSAO Ambient Occlusion (an excellent balance between performance and fidelity), set the game's version of Transparency Supersampling to "Standard", and enabled 8xMSAA to eliminate those pesky jaggies.

Are you running these exact settings and getting this performance?

i don't think i get that fps with these settings though. i will check.
