Hello

How are you guys ?smile.gif

I want to hear your thoughts about this product.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350614811006?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2648

I will be using it with my MacBook mostly. Just plug in and play.
Will my MacBook be able to drive them, and my Ipod as well?

Maybe there is a reason why I should not buy it? If so I would like to know why.

Also, maybe there is something better in the same price range?

Thank you

Looks like a "white van" surround setup.

Could you elaborate please?
I have no idea what that means smile.gif

I am using mackbook inbuilt speakers for now, and they suck big time.

I want something that I can enjoy for a small room in my home.

Ehhh, some guidance please.

Was looking at an ipod docking station. Not sure if those are good with audio coming just form one point.

By 'White Van' he means cheaply made and poor quality. The term comes from scammers building expensive looking but poor performing speakers and selling them at what looks like a great price, for the actual sound quality it is a rip-off though.

What's your budget? Do you really need 5.1? As you mention an iPod dock I'm guessing you don't. Less speakers = better sound quality at a given price. What's the main use? Just casual listening to music and Youtube etc?

I know there's lots of questions there but it helps us understand what is best for your situation smile.gif

Thank you smile.gif

Allright I see what your saying. I guess I wont risk on these.

The main use is to listen music in a small room/medium room.
Il be having some guests over, and I want to create the mood with some peacefull songs. (not only peacefull) And I want the sound to be somewhat whole, that it fills the room, not thin and squished as if coming out of a barell.

I wont be using them for casual use, just for the mood setting. Not for gaming, loud noises, gun shots from a fps etc. Beautifull music.

I tried to utilize my Macbook speakers, and they mske it sound like the sound is coming from a bucket.

I kind have the preconception that anything coming from one source (1 speaker) will give the same effect. Aka, the sound will be thin, not whole, and as if coming from a barell.

I might be wrong.

My budget is around 70$ (I live in Europ)

I know 70 eint much, but I also know that if you search hard enough you can always get a good bang for the buch. but if you dont research before you buy then you might get a 100$ speakers that sound the same as a 50$ ones. Kinda like the Korean 27inch Ips HD monitors "Yamakasi Catleap". I bought one last year, and it's simply amazing for that price.

I am on the road right now, traveling, so I cant sit down and spend many hours on researching the best available option (which I enjoy to be honest)

So, yes. Is there something you can recomend me TUDJ within this or higher budget? 70 +

Regards
