And I don't recommend the PB238Q.
Overall poor panel for gaming.

Alright, enough is enough. What exactly are you even basing the bold on? You made a similar claim before but when I asked for proof you quickly scampered away, most likely because you had no experience with the monitor. And no, AG does not ruin image quality. Most (practically all) monitors will retain their sharpness and clarity on a macro scale which means it will just look fine to us. I see you going around posting a lot of bad information and peddling subpixel arrangements as if they actually mean anything significant to the normal viewer. If I had to give any advice it would be to not listen to Koehler.

This. He said that the ASUS monitor that I recommend was also a "poor quality panel" with no proof. As far as I know, ASUS makes some of the best displays available. He has no basis for his claims.

Well... I can't say it's a poor quality panel but I will say this: at 27" 1080p is a bit paltry for most people, though some people are fine with it; it's TN, that doesn't mean contrast or colors will necessarily be worse than IPS but it will have less color-depth than higher-end IPS panels (though it shouldn't matter to the regular user) and its viewing angles won't be as good. But like I said, I can't say whether or not the quality of the panel (or rather the entire monitor) is poor.

There weren't any 27' inch monitors in my price range that had 2560x1440p resolution or an IPS display. Sorry but I'm not paying $600+ for a monitor. Not worth it. I have better things to spend that money on.

Dell has a 27" 1080P monitor that uses an eIPS panel.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=225-3894

The U2312HM also uses an eIPS panel that looks absolutely beautiful.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-2807&~ck=baynoteSearch&baynote_bnrank=11&baynote_irrank=0

Really think about what you want in a monitor. Do you want lightning fast response time at the expense of color reproduction, or do you want beautiful colors at a slightly looser response time. You're not going to find both without spending a lot more than $250-300.
