Good tablet that supports FLASH and is under $600??

Hey guys christmas is around the corner and i'd like to get someone a tablet but i need 2 things out of it.

1.) is the price, lots of people to shop for so i can't spend more than 600 around $400 would be excellent

2.) It must support flash, This person loves a certain website that is filled with flash videos that aren't Html5 compatible. I'd imagine they would spend a significant amount of time browsing this website on the tablet so this is a necessary.

Yea, other than ipads i know next to nothing about what tablets are good and which ones aren't so please help me out because i'm a total noob with these things. Never cared for them but i know someone who might.

From the reviews that I watched (several) no tablet these days truly supports excellent flash. I was surprised that my TF101 would run a flash stream from thefirstrow. Anyway, back on topic. Since they absolutely require flash, or something that will try it...I would recommend the Nexus 10. I would also check out the Windows Surface. Just hit up youtube and watch reviews.

Looks good.

I'm at a crossroads at whether to get a tablet or laptop for her. She mostly spends her time on her smartphone (Galaxy Nexus) and hasn't used a computer in a very long time (except at her work)

Laptop would offer alot of versatility and proper flash support but would be big and bulky for everyday use.

Tablet would offer a bigger screen but not a different experience to her smartphone but would be much more practical for casual use.

This is for my mom btw.

Well then...check this out:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+11.6%26%2334%3B+Touch-Screen+Laptop+-+4GB+Memory+-+500GB+Hard+Drive+-+Steel+Gray/6835267.p?id=1218808633918&skuId=6835267

I stumbled onto that the other day when my girlfriend asked me to do some research on laptops for her sisters. It is pretty well priced, and meets both things you are looking for. Drawbacks are that it is only 11 inches, and parents can't see things as well, it only has a core i3 processor, and the batter life obviously isn't anything spectacular.

But at that $450 price point, it is kind of the best of both worlds.

interesting. Don't know about a touch screen laptop though. It offers the best of both worlds but also the downsides.

there was some news about windows 8 tablets do those support flash? Are they true windows 8 or some cut down version?

The Microsoft Surface only has Windows RT, which is a special Windows 8 for tablets I believe. They cut some of the features. With that laptop, you would get a full Windows 8 as well as a solid laptop.

See post #3...

I have both...

That is a Nexus 7 with 4.1.2 Paranoid root.. Which kinda makes it like IOS.. of Apple..

The Ipad is the Only Apple product ive ever owned...

The reviewers say the NExus 7 is a better buy then the Nexus 10...

Well i know The nexus 7 is only 199$ vs 379$ ipad.. but im comparing OS here...

And i find the Android OS crashing alot and not as fun to Navigate thru as IOS 6...

Comparing the markets i find more stuff in the apple market place..
And it much more easy to Navigate thru.

Also when trying to get the same games that were free on my Ipad i found you had to pay for alot of them on the Android.

I got the Nexus 7 for my wife cause she would not leave my Ipad alone.
Now she wants to give the NExus 7 to our son.. and wants me to buy her an Ipad cause she likes it alot more.. i also have to say i do to.

Didn't like Tab2 10inch at all. Loved transfomers - keyboard, design.
Tab feels cheap to me.
Nexus should be best option, hardware-price. And you'll have ubuntu on it, eventually.

Hate apple, so no comments smile.gif

Edit:
You're confused. Most iOS apps that cost money will be free from android market, that include games.
Haven't had android crash ever. Using it for 2 years on phone. You could have beta or alpha rom on it, it is new device and it takes some time for devs to roll out stable roms.
