EVGA GTX 570 HD trying to over clock. - Page 3

just ran through Starcraft 2, and Left For dead 2, at 950MHz, 1013Mv . that barely broke above 67C. sound about right?

I think BF3 is simply just unstable.

I have indeed isolated the problem being BF3.

BF3 does NOT like Overclocekd Nvidea cards, whatsoever.

All my games run perfectly on Ultra settings.

Not BF3. the overcloking is fine. temps are fine. benchmarks are fine. stress is fine. BF3 negative.

Trying this solution.

Apparently I am not the only one with this problem.

Will keep you posted so others like me can learn and resolve.

you went to a stable oc and kinda over did it. i dont even do 850. im at 830 stable with full settings in heaven with 34-35fps which if i go to 850mhz i get 1 or 2 freames better but more voltage. not worth it

I would take a look at the card itself and look for damages. Check out the fan and such. If not, maybe your card got too hot at some point because you dont haev enough cooling in your tower and your card itself is damaged. Sucks but you might have to upgrade your cooling in your case or buy a gpu cooler and make sure your tower has enough air flow. I had a crap desktop before and the cooling sucked, but with higher end stuff you need better cooling esp if your gonna OC your stuff.
I'm also trying to oc the exact same card and same problem. Even at stock it throttles,I don't know whats going wrong frown.gif I have excellent cooling in my pc case & I'm quite old in the field of overclocking, does anyone have any idea, how to oc this evga gtx570 h?

scroll up and try the steps. using furmark will throttle but using msi kombuster and heaven or mark3d11 will give you correct results. Keep in mind that if you OC too high and your setting are off, it will screw you up and you might damage your GPU. Once damaged, can't be fixed with a program. Also, run each test twice look for artifacts and your gpu temp. I have a MSI Twin frozr gtx570 and im runnig stable at 830 core with 1013v. I rub it stable at 850 core with 1035v but for a 1 or 2 more fps to add more voltage is just risky for me. i run everything fine.

+1 rep if this helped biggrin.gif

Be very careful asking for reps mate. Just an FYI. thumb.gif
