I ended up getting this one http://www.frozencpu.com/products/email/16088/ex-res-371/XSPC_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_-_Laing_D5_MCP655_w_Blue_LED_Light_-_Black.html?tl=g30c97s152
and one of the Laing D5 pumps on the BF sale. I might just end up changing out the XSPC pump/res that came with the kit instead of waiting for it to break down.

It's good, but i'm no fan of acrylic. In my experience acrylic gets stress cracks around screw holes, fittings, etc, and other worrying signs over time. I've had my res at least 2 years now and it has shallow, yet noticeable cracks that spread out from the rear fittings and around the pump mount screws. I've had a GPU waterblock leak on me for this exact reason, that slowly surfaced after a year or so use.
I guess you could argue that i perhaps overtightened the fittings, but i think this is unlikely given the number of times i've seen this sort of thing in acrylic materials (ranging from blocks, pumps, res's) and overtightening is something i'm very mindful of during assembly.

i been using the same res for over 2 years with no issues and no cracks at all.

While my acrylic top water block (EK Supreme HF) and acrylic reservoir (Danger Den) aren't 2 years old, I have run them for over a year now without any issues at all.
