Question about reducing pump vibration

I currently have the standard res/pump combo you get with the XSPC rasa kits listed here
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10038/ex-res-161/XSPC_X2O_750_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_Pump_-_Updated_Version.html?tl=g30c107s152&id=nIkJUmiZ&mv_pc=3794

My question is if there is anything that can be done about the vibrations from the pump into the case. I have a CM690II and the the res/pump sits in the bottom of the 5.25 bay. The only thing I can think of would be to add some sort of insulating foam to the bottom, but the only problem with that is that it would need to be really thin.

Can anyone give me recommendations on how to get rid of the vibrations?

Could the noise you are hearing just be that you still have some air in the loop?

I'm 95% sure it wouldn't be bubbles. I was pretty thorough when I initially filled the loop. Plus, I can sort of manipulate how much noise it makes by moving the res/pump in in the case.

They show that gel under a D5 pump, imo not needed for that pump. My D5 is mounted directly to the case using back-plate and metal screw (no shock absorption) and makes no noise or vibrations that I can hear from more than 1 inch away.

Perhaps someone with the OP's pump can chime in.

Sorry, I took "sits in the bottom of the 5.25 bay" to mean sits on the bottom of the case.

Not too much to be done there. Even dampening material (rubber washers) between the bay and the case won't really help much as long as the screws are not isolated as well. You could try these.
