$2257 NZD Rig - Advice Needed - Page 2

I don't want to over clock it (at least not yet), as i want it to last for as long as possible. I might end up over clocking it later, but for now, what would be the best without over clocking in mind?

Yeah the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H is a great choice.

Also yeah CM PSUs are crap and I would get the cheaper Logitech G400 which is a great mouse.

What website are you buying from?

OP I would recommend a Seasonic Power Supply. I have a 650 watt Gold fully modular unit. Had it for a year and a half now and no issues whatsoever.

If i were to go for the 7870, playing games like Borderlands 2, where they advertise GeForce as running it so much better, would I miss out on those features because I'm not using GeForce, or does it not really matter?thumb.gif
post #20 of 47
No they're just trying to sell you on it, the only thing you miss out on is PhsyX which is a very small factor in the game, and is not used in many games at all. And if you want PhysX, you can buy a cheap old nVidia card to run alongside the 7870 for dedicated PhysX.
