Which biocide/additive(s)?

These are my choices:
http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/Biocide-and-Additives-cid-1227.html

I'm going to use a kill-coil too, but for good measure what biocide is best? Why are there so many and what are the differences?

Do I need an anti corrosive thing too?

As for the materials in my loop I have:
EK and Bitspower fittings (alloy???)
CPU block is an XSPC Rasa (Acetal)
GPU block is an EK-FC 6970 V2 ("EN Nickel Acetal")
one pump has a Plexi top
the other pump an Acetal top
RX240 rad ("Copper Fins, Brass Construction")
Black Ice SR1 420 ("Copper Fins, Brass Construction")

Knowing all the different metals which biocide/additives do I want?

+reps to all! thanks in advance.

Mayhems biocide and as you have nickel i wouldn't suggest ussing silver kill coil

I just put a silver coin in my res and distilled water, coin is .999 purity and 40mm diameter so good surface area and I have a few of them anyway. Can't find kill koils around here.

Copper, nickel, brass and alloys place nicely together afaik, aluminium is a big no no. Bitspower fittings are mostly solid brass with afaik nickel coating etc, you can also get them coated in fine silver.

As jellybean said the nickel block might degrade if you use silver, wouldn't matter if you were using nickel coated compression fittings as you'll never see the damage but for a nice gpu block you'd best avoid silver.

Also the material making up the 'top' of your block and pumps is COMPLETELY irrelevant.

BTW if you haven't already bought the gpu block, i'd recommend Colloidal Silver over a kill coil, and just use distilled water, if you want color just get colored tubing.

I already have everything listed, so just use no kill coil at all because of the gpu block and get mayhems biocide?

Why is silver and nickel a no go because i've had a silver coil in the loop for about a year now already frown.gif
