Asus p8 z77 v lx SLI support?

Thread Starter
A few months ago i bought an Asus board [z77 V LX] and was hoping i could use it to SLI two GTX 560s but i'm now not so sure. on Newegg.com under the features section of the motherboard's page, it says there is a PCI 3.0x16 slot and a PCI 2.0x16 slot "@x4" This throws me off... i'm sure i can SLI with the board but if this particular PCI 2 slot is "@x4" does this mean i will have drastically reduced performance, or is there a way around this to have both cards running normally as if i had 2 PCI 2 slots @x16?

You mobo doesn't support sli as it sais here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LX/#specifications

Usually modern day gpus will not run well on the pcie x4 slot what I had to painfully discover with my 7770. You cannot change a slot from pcie 3.0 to 2.0.
