Which should I go for?

Its for my mum to read books on, the kindle fire is only £99 on Amazon black Friday deal, the HD version is £160.

Guess it depends how much you love your mother:thumb: But seriously it depends what she is going to use it for. Here you can see all the differences and maybe that will help. http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/06/kindle-fire-whats-changed/

What about a nexus 7?

I've got a nexus 7 so wanting to go down kindle route. The 100 quid price tag seems most appealing. I'm just wanting to know if its worth the extra 60 quid for the HD version.

Is it just for reading? I have used an e-ink reader before and i much prefer it to my nexus 7 for reading books. I use the nexus so i can have access to other things in one device.

Im also in the same boat, however my mum will mostly be using hers for internet browsing.

If I had the money now - id get the normal kindle fire because £99 is a great deal, however because I dont get paid until next week, the kindle fire HD will only be £30 more, so i'll be getting her that.
