Thanks, Jura

Yah, i cant believe i end up using an Asrock board, but hey, i just want something that works, and luckily i found a similar board PCI Express wise to the Asus board that works, thats the EP2C612 WS from Asrock.
Gigabyte and Supermicro dont have similar board.

A board from Supermicro also made me Problems, i end up selling it, only to learn afterwards that the seller had to send it for warranty as something was amiss with the board. Talk about bad luck.

Now im just happy it works.

I also have 2 NVME PCI Express 4x SSDs (one 960 EVO 250 gb and one 950 Pro 512 gg) on a single PCIe 3.0 16x board (supporting up to 4 of These NVME PCI Express 4x SSDs), and happily to Report the Motherboard can boot from this drives and NVME Driver works properly.

Hi there

Glad is working for you ASRock board, currently have as well ASRock X99 Extreme6 board which has been faultless and no issues

I didn't know ASRock do have dual socket board, regarding the SATA ports, how many HDD are you using or do you have

Thanks, Jura

The board has 10 SATA ports, but i expanded to 12 Ports using a Delock Mini PCIe Adapter attached to a Amfeltec Mini PCIe Carrier board,
I have 2 CD ROMs, 2 HDD on the side, 1 Rack (with 2,5 and 3,5 inch hdd), 2 more HDD racks (one 2,5 and one 3,5), and made ready cable for 4 more 2,5" hdd on the side of the case. (Thats why i needed 14 slots).

I also have via 5,25 mounting bays slots for 8 x 3,5" hdd and 8 x 2,5" hdd, but these are freee, as i will need to get an Areca card first.

I also use a Amfeltec PCI Express 3.0 16x Carrier board to attach 4 NVME PCI Express M.2 SSD, currently i have a 256 gb 960 EVO as OS Drive, and a 512gb 950 Pro as a gaming Drive.

Since these Amfeltec boards are attached to variable PCI Express connector, the board itself is in the middle, this allows attaching card on either side, and allow for a little bit of room. Thats why i could permanently attach Small heatsinks on the SSD with thermal adhesive, by by throthling on these SSDs.
