I'll see if I can find one when I get home... Basically you measure th length you need, cut the wires at that length and crimp on new Pins... It's not too bad at all for that part... Just tedious smile.gif

What i wanted to see was if the naked metallic wire needs to be with a plastic insulated before it gets sleeved. Or is it allready with a plastic insulated.
the wire come insulated, but you will need to strip the end of it for the crimp to make contact smile.gif

Then itsgood.
It doesnt seem so hard then to create your own custom length wires and cable.

You need cables, connector, pins, sleeve, heatshrinks, and must be really carefull whre the pins go,

Seems preety easy enough

Is this gonna be enough for all the cutting, modding, needs, and whatever needs to be done to create my custom wires ?

i have no idea how good or bad that crimper is, but everything else looks solid smile.gif

EDIT: if you get it, please give us a review smile.gif

Why i would get it, is because its an all in one package, like a drill machine, everything is inside one box.

Seem like a good piece of equipement.

Ok, im looking for a heatgun now.
Found a few from 40 to 100 euros.
What i need to know is what temperature i'm gonna use the pistol to heat up the heatshrinks ?
DOes anybody now. ?

I think i'll be buying mdpc sleeving as its available in germany.
The one i linked from frozen cpu is from USA, and im looking on buying from germnay stuff, if it's possible.

http://geizhals.de/703703

It has a breitstrahlduse, meaning a lower diameter dose, it should be usefull.

3 Heizstufen
5 Luftmengen
Flexibel durch Vorsatzdüsen
LCD-Display
Gummierte Aulagerpunkte
Softgriff

Serienmäßiges Zubehör:
Reflektordüse
Abstrahldüse
Farbkratzer
Breitstrahldüse
Reduzierdüse 20 mm

Temperature from 50 to 630 Celsius. Otta be enough, right ?

Also, would i be needing this ?

Here is a bit of new information i have gathered regarding cable dimensions i should purchase for my own cable making.
Techpowerup states the following on the EVGA 1500 Power nova supply:
"The 24 pin ATX connector uses thicker 16AWG gauges for lower voltage drops at high loads, while all the remaining connectors use 18AWG wires, which are the minimum recommended by ATX spec (except sense wires and FDD ones)."
So i was thinking on t fellowing:
16 AWG wire for the ATX power supply, or every other cable that power the motherboard
18 AWG wire for video cards, and hard disks, optical disks and ssd.
22 AWG wire for fan harness.

There is a problem now.
AWG stands for American wire gauge which is a standardized wire gauge system used since 1857 predominantly in the United States and Canada for the diameters of round, solid, nonferrous, electrically conducting wire.[1] The cross-sectional area of each gauge is an important factor for determining its current-carrying capacity.

Here i am in Germany Europe, and here we have no AWG system for wire thickness. Now wonder i coulnd't find any AWG 16 18 and 22 to buy here in Germany.
I had a mail exhange with MDCP customer contact, where i asked a few questions, and he stated the following:
"You only need the european equivalents: Instead AWG18 (and AWG6, which is
technically not needed at all), you use 0,75mm² wire. For fans you use 0,14mm²
wire.
"

The i did some measurements:

16 AWG wire, Diameter=1.291 mm, Area=1.31 mm^2
18 AWG wire, Diameter=1.024 mm Area=0.823 mm^2
22 AWG wire, Diameter=0.723 mm Area=0.326 mm^2

Now the guys said: 0,75mm^2 wire for everthing, and fans 0.14mm^2 wire
Looking at the table here
0.75mm^2 wire is equivalent to aproximately 18.5 AWG and
0.14mm^2 wire is equivalent to aproximately 25.5 AWG,
MEANIG, the cables are a bit thinner here.

Other options in europe are:(i wil be using eAWG for Equivalent AWG)
Litze 0,04 mm² (EAWG=31)
Litze 0,09 mm² (EAWG=27.5)
Litze 0,14 mm² (EAWG=25.5)
Kabel 0,25 mm² (EAWG=23)
Kabel 0,50 mm² (EAWG=20)
Kabel 0,75 mm² (EAWG=18.5)
Kabel 1,0 mm² (EAWG=17)
Kabel 1,5 mm² (EAWG=15.2)
Kabel 2,5mm² (EAWG=13.2)

AGAIN, these cables in square milimeters are the cables/wires that are available in germany, and probably in Europe
One can clearly see that what he recommended, as 0.75 square milimeters is a little bit thinner that what i had in mind, (AWG 16 and 18)
And the 0.14 square milimeters cable is also a little bit thinner than what i had in mind, for fan harness (AWG 22)

Having said that, i'm thinking of using 1.0 square milimeter thick cable for everithing except fans(that would be an AWG 17, as compromise between the 16 and 18 i originally wanted), and for fans the 0.25 square milimeters thick cable, which is still a bit thinner than the AWG 22 people recomended for fan harness (0.326 square milimeters). Going with the next available thicknes (0.5 with an equivalent AWG of 20) would probably be to much for fans, but maybe, just maybe its a thing i'll probably consider if i'm going to be using high powered delta fans with high amperage (like 1 Ampere per fan)

So to sum it up
Wanted initially:
AWG 16 for motherbaord powering (Area=1.31 mm^2)
AWG 18 for videocards and hdd (Area=0.823 mm^2)
AWG 22 for fan harness (Area=0.326 mm^2)

Recommende from MDPC guy through email
0.75 mm^2 wire for everthing except fans
0.14 mm^2 for fans

My decision:
1.00 mm^2 for everthing except fans
0.25 mm^2 for fan harness
MAYBE 0.5 mm^2 if i'll make a big harness or use high Amperage Fans

Any comments ?
