[Dell and Amazon] Dell U3011 30" Monitor for $999

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-U3011-30-Monitor/dp/B004KKGF1O

Dell: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=224-9949

Basically $300 off, probably as good as it will get for this monitor. Amazon has a limit of 1 per user account.

I'm pretty sure that was an error on Best Buy's part. They had it listed for the 27" price and the deal only lasted about an hour apparently. I had never seen the monitor listed for less than $1150 or so and I've been watching for several months.

1400 vs 1600

We demand those extra 200 vertical pixels and 3 inches of screen real estate!

It irritates me that the 30" panels have more space and more pixels, but lower pixel density. For what they are charging, the thing should be better in every way over the 27".

I have both a 2560x1440 panel (s27b970) and the u3011. The u3011 is a big difference, the difference in real estate is enormous. I prefer the u3011 in every way, basically....

This deal is dead BTW
