Games Blamed For School Attack......Again! - Page 6

Yea im getting sick of everyone targeting video games. There are about 1 million things worse that influence kids. It is mainly the parents fault but they never get blamed

Notice that there were nutjobs and idiots before videogames, too. It's not like games became popular and all of a sudden kids turn into raging killers. It's happened for years, it just gets a lot more media attention now.

Christa Stewens, family minister for the conservative-led state of Bavaria, called for a nationwide ban on war games like paintball and laser tag, in which players hunt down and pretend to kill each other with guns firing paint balls or laser beams.
That is the crap we gamers have to deal with on a daily basis what do you expect from people like this. Over conservative types. They can do nothing but adapt to the new wave of games. But instead they will ban they i find that total bullcrap. "pardon my French"
It was the same story with Bully. Although i heard something about Colombine that i don't know is true. Weeks before the insident those kids where playing the most violent game at the time Doom, cutting there hair pulling out there teath and sharpening knifes. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dunno if that's true but it will be funny if it was.

BLAME THE SCHOOLS FOR NOT KEEPING KIDS FROM BULLING!
Eductors can only do so much, believe me I know first hand! Blaming the schools is like blamming the video game.
Home is where the lessons need be taught and those responsible should be held accountable.

Look, We all have played violent games or watched violence on T.V. as we have grown up. Have we gone out and acted out what we have seen? I think not. Maybe because We had parents that have raised us to be responsible and have morals to know wrong from right. The responsibly resides solely in the parents to raise their children right.
I allow my 11 year old son to play games and watch T.V. I however monitor everything he does and temper what he will and will not see or do. I also make sure he knows the difference between reality and fantasy , right and wrong. If anyone in this world thinks that me allowing him to play COD, FEAR, act , that I’m a bad parent ,than so be it.
But I don’t just use the T.V. or the PC to baby sit him. If I did that, then I would be a bad parent. Not because of letting him see this violence would make him a killer, but the pure fact that leaving him to raise himself would lead to him making poor decisions and him having the T.V. and PC be his role models. The responsibility of him becoming a deceit human being resides solely in me as the parent.
What it boils down to is, Stop blaming the games , T.V. or any other source when it is the parents who hold the blame in these situations. It kind of gives me a bitter laugh when parents says “ I had no idea that my child had bomb making stuff in his room and was planning to kill everyone in his school “

most of the blame for this should be placed on the parents because most parents nowadays are more worried about living thier own lives that they neglect to teach a child the difference between right and wrong. and if games are the reason that kids do stuff like this you might as well throw in music, movies, art, tv, and religion
