speaking of E6600's mine WITHOUT OC'ing idles at 60°C with Intel's stock cooler... I'm not too sure but that sounds a bit hot for stock speed. I managed to get it all the way up to 3.4GHz but it got way too hot (Around 85°C to 95°C) 3.0GHz seemed fine until I tried CPU Burn In and it cut off my computer

I just ordered a Cooler Master Hyper 6+ so maybe that will keep my Core 2 a lot cooler.

I was using the stock cooler for a while, and had similar temps, the cooler is junk, I was idle@50C, so I couldnt do any OCing or Stability testing until my AC 7 Pro arrived. Dont run your temps past 60C thats way to toasty
