Fold on 1 core: Game on the other

Ok I noticed my temps gettin high and I really havent been doing alot...then it dawned on me my temps really soar when i play bf2 and fold at the same time....soooo how can I set F@H to just fold on one core? so that I can game on the other?

use the device manager and set affinity on the fahcore to which ever cpu core you want

Doesn't F@H fold on only 1 core by default? Mine does (I think), and I just fold on 1 core, and play games on other

It's still gonna be the same temp though...you'll still be loading close to 100% on both cores lol.

Just turn folding off while you play if it's a problem.

na it uses both jsut like most of yor other programs jsut doesnt do 100%

Nope.. If you want dual core folding, you want to run 2 console folding instances at once... Folding is single threaded.. So you just run multiple instances for multiple cores. You do have to set the machine ID to different settings tho.. There are many mentions/howtos for this in the forums.. But I dont know EXACTLY how as I have no dual core procs..

All you have to do is run two instances in their own directories with different machine ID's. You don't have to worry about affinity, your CPU will handle that on its own. It basically gives work to whichever core is free.
