Best way I can say to get what you need, without going waaaaay overboard, is to measure what you want each wire to be for each pin size (24 pin, 8 pin, 6 pin etc etc). Then multiply that by the pin size (i.e., the length you want the wire to be for that cable times, lets say, 24 for a 24 pin...just an example). You then add all of that up, and tack on a bit extra for safe measure if you want. No sense wasting money and ending up with double what you need. thumb.gif

A regular PSU takes 200-250 of sleeve to single sleeve every wire. If you're sleeving a couple wires together or sleeving the 24pin as one, then that number goes down a lot, though you'd need more than one size of sleeve for that.

Amount of wires x length of wires from PSU x 1.1 = what you should ideally get for single sleeving. The extra 10% is for any mistakes you may make.
You'll also need about 10% of your length of sleeve in heat shrink.

Clearly better at explaining math than me. tongue.gif So yeah, just read his, since it says what in 2 sentences what I tried to say in a paragraph lol. Kudos to you, Khepira. thumb.gif

Haha, I didn't even see your post before I started hammering away at an explanation. Thanks! biggrin.gif

Thread Starter
honestly never thought about the fact there are so many feet of cabling inside that case...

sounds like a good place to start though, I'll have to figure that out before I buy my second 680. thanks

Anytime biggrin.gif
I first bought a 200ft span of sleeve for a PSU and when I ran out, I sat there scratching my head, "I know I didn't waste THAT much. Where did it all go?!" and I hadn't even done the modular pieces yet! That's when the research came to find out if I was crazy or not.

The typical wire from a PSU is 50cm so that's a good place to start if you multiply that by the amount of wires.
