Headset/microphone situation...

I want to get a headset to for gaming on my PC, but am not sure what will have good sound and have a good mic. My sister has a headset that a really like as far as comfort and sound quality (Urbanears Plattan), but it doesn't have a mic on it. I has a headphone jack on one of the earcups so other people can listen to the music or whatever you are with their headphones, and was wondering if I could simply plug a mic into that? My other thought is to just get a separate mic and attach it to the headset, but plug it into my PC. My last though is to get a different headset (was thinking about the Steel Series Spectrum 5XB, because the mic hides in the earcup). I'm not realy sure what to do.

Steelseries is having a sale on most of their headphones, I think the Siberia V2 is probably like 40-60$, I'd say it has decent sound and mic combo for that price.

free shipping as well for black friday sales.

Thanks, I was looking at those too, price isn't a problem for me so I don't need to get them on a sale or anything. But my dad know that I really like those headphones (that I talked about earlier) so I think he's getting me them for Christmas. I just don't really want to have 2 pairs of headphones but maybe he won't get them and I can get a headset that I want.

I've seen these recommended on here, and while I can't say anything about them, they're cheap. Worth a shot, right?

Thanks, definitely worth trying if I can't get one with a mic.
