So I have a Seagate 1TB HD that has never given me any problems and if free Harddrive monitoring software is to be trusted, is still in good health and working fine. However, lately I've noticed that it has been 'spooling up' or whining and clicking like a HD does when you open a program much more often- even when I'm not launching something. Is this normal? COuld it be something running in the background doing it? Does the amount of data on the drive have anything to do with it (about 240GB free)? Thanks for any info.
