Keep the full load under 50c and have at it!
Whats the stepping, some recent 3200+, 3500+ Venices have hit 3G

i was thinking id probably push to 2.8 when i got a new fan, but my motherboard aint the best, so might not let me go so far,gunna upgrade to a dfi after xmas

Those are nice temperatures, go for more. I'm running my 3500+ @ 2.75Ghz stable @ 1.53V. Asus boards, like you predicted, aren't that good for overclocking, but you should be able to hit at least 2.7Ghz with that setup. Just keep going.

Very nice temps indeed! My ASUS mobo seems to get the job done though. It can hit 2.81Ghz with my X2 3800+ but the temps wew WAY too high. Gonna replace with an Opty soon anyways.
