PS3 Controller for PlanetSide 2

Hi I've been playing a lot of Planet Side 2 and I've realized flying games are pitiful on a mouse a keyboard.

So I need help using my old PS3 controller as a joy stick for Planet Side 2. If anybody has had success with this could you please help me?

Have you tried setting motionjoy to emulate the PS3 controller as a 360 controller?
