When I briefly ran a 3930k under an H60 it barely allowed me to keep usable temps at stock volts tongue.gif

Yeah my old 5.2ghz capable 2700k on my custom water loop never exceeded 60-65 deg C during really humid 35 degree days, but now ive given it to my gf and put it under a H60 it gets 60-70 on only 4.5ghz low volts.

Never been that impressed with the closed loop off the shelf coolers, they fit the niche market of easy to install, hassle free water cooling. But temp wise its barely water cooling and many seem to come up with pump issues from what i've read.

Think you could lend me some coldness? I mean just send a tube over to my house smile.gif Your cooler is big enough to cool my stuff too biggrin.gif

I read the whole post from top to bottom! Very impressive.

Just one question. I snagged the last LD V8 case from FrozenCPU (got em to drop the price a little!) and was starting on my build so I'm looking at other builds for ideas/things to try. Where did you get that tubing? Or did you do it yourself?

Thanks a lot PCModderMike, ive been wanting to do a build like this for over a decade but life got in the way. I wanted a Vapochill since the day I saw one and vowed to get something similar one day, that day has finally come smile.gif!

Thanks bud, tubing is just normal 1/2 ID 3/4 OD white uncle fester UV blue tubing with a sleeve put over the top. The compression ring holds the sleeve to the tube, it was easy enough to get the sleeve around because its braided and can go quite large if pushed together. Once I cut the sleeve to length (cut it to length while stretching it) placed the tubing through the sleeve then had to use my nail to stuff the compression fitting ring around the sleeved tubing. It was a tight fit but more then doable. Once the ring was on I had to push the sleeving tight so it didn't expand and look ugly.

I think the sleeved tubing gives the watercooling aspect a more professional look then clear tubing with dye or coloured tubing. Looks more industrial/engine-like and matched the sleeving over the phase neck quite well - albeit my w/c sleeving doesn't have the white lines through it, which is why I opted for white tubing underneath.

Awesome job mate, great read and a really nice system!

Sounds like your chips a keeper too!

My 3930k does 5.2ghz @ 1.51v under water. Will do 5ghz @ 1.465v benching so pretty happy. thumb.gif
