The comparison is that both companies are still using the same, although updated, engine for quite some time now except one gets hate for it, while the other doesn't. No one is saying they are similar.
I definitely don't see the similarity of CoD and Quake gameplay. Maybe it's just me, but the feel for each is completely different. They're both twitch based, sure, but they both play out and feel a lot different to me.
My point is that both the Source and IW/BO engines have had so many changes up until this point that neither resemble the engines that they originated from. That's why continued use of either engine by their developers does not bother me one bit.

That's fine. You don't have to buy it then. However, it's definitely worth the price for those who enjoy it and can get a couple hundred hours out of it which is rather easy to do.Edited by moocowman - 11/25/12 at 7:42pm
