Thread Starter
sorry, been away from the pc for a while. anyway. i can't seem to get anything to work. i'm using VLC player, by the way.

im also having trouble when i'm doing somthing like say, burning cds, or installing programs. the audio gets extremely screwed up, (almost moreso than with the dvd)

You've got enough processing power, RAM, and the power supply is doing more than enough to supply power to your system. There shouldn't be a reason in the world why you're not kicking ass and taking names with your system the way it's actually set up.

Try tuning VLC player down to default 2 channel audio, no advanced tweaks, and if you're running codecs, make sure they're complementary to how you've got your audio set up in your player.
