Diagnosing Parts!

Hi guys, I need some help diagonisng what's wrong with my rig.
The problem is that games tend to make my rig freeze, and the only thing I can do is reboot. I don't get a BSOD, it's just frozen and the audio sounds weird for a few seconds then stops. I don't think it's heat related because Afterburner is showing my GPU temp is safe, and my CPU isn't overclocked. It's done this since I got it, but I was a noob back then and did nooby things as a result, like assuming it was certain things and replacing them haha. tongue.gif
I've run memtest86+ and here's the results;

I'm about to run Prime95 + Furmark, any advice on settings what to run? And what if nothing goes wrong? Does anyone have any ideas why games are crashing my rig?

Cheers!

Is it freezing at any other times,or just when gaming? If it's only gaming,I would look at drivers first,video,sound,and finally chipset.

Only gaming, but maybe that's because it's the most intensive thing I do use it for?

As in chipset drivers? I'll check that all my stuff's updated.

Do I just download and install all the suggested drivers then?

On a side note, this can't be right:

Yes.

If you have Chipset Drivers update, just use this method:

It shows the right frequency for me (which you still have to x2 as its DDR, double data rate).

Usually when it hangs, but does not BSOD it's just a component receiving slightly less than what it would need to operate. Usually, CPU. If you've had this since day one...any chance it could be a bad chip? GFX drivers could crash, but they usually recover right away bringing you to the desktop.

Sometimes it does that, and it tells me the graphics driver has crashed. But that doesn't happen nearly as often as the freezes. Hopefully the chip isn't bad, maybe it isn't seated properly? I had the PC built at a shop (again, noob move!) and it looked rushed because of lack of cable management.

@adridu59 Ah, didn't know that's what DDR meant lol. Cheers.
