Do you think the power supply in my parents pc will block it though?
Do you have the computer near you? You could always just take a ruler and do some quick measurements smile.gif

Nah, otherwise I wouldn't be so concerned about the fit, it is 60 miles away at my folks house wink.gif

Fremish! No kidding I was just about to ask about that cooler! COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible with Intel 1366/1155/775
This is the one I want! I just wonder if I would fit. If only I could ask my parents to measure without wrecking the suprise, that is if they knew how to remove the side panel rolleyes.gif

Edit: The COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus has a height of 158.5 mm (120 x 79.7 x 158.5 mm)
While the COOLER MASTER GeminII S524 has a height of 105mm (144 x 144 x 105 mm)

What do you guys think? 5.85cm could be a deal breaker...

I have no doubt it will fit. It has a very unique design that allows for almost all cases. Look at the "spec" tab on newegg and take a ruler and look. Something that I would recommend is taking off that plastic direct CPU cooler that's attached to the side of the case... It's worthless... But it will fit...Look at my builds below to see the case I used it in.

Yup, I was going to suggest the 212+. Make sure you get the plus, the evo doesn't come with 775 mounting hardware. It's not a huge heatsink, you should be fine. You need about 16 cm of height clearance.

If the Hper 212 is too big CM also has smaller "versions" of the 212 that use 92mm or 80mm fans that should fit and are a bit cheaper.

80mm: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103074

92mm: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103064

This is what I see when I look at your parents case. xD I'm pretty sure you might have something living in the power supply.

Ok, so it was just a couple dats ago that I clean their pc, and I don't remember the case being really narrow. From what is being said, I think I will go with the 212+ as it sounds like it will fit (fingers crossed.)

Haha I was telling my roommates how stupid and worthless that black plastic thing is! It doesn't even line up properly with the heatsink. I will enjoy destroying it!

I wish I could measure it, I ride a motorcycle all winter (not on the winter highway though) so I doubt I will make it to the folks place before Christmas, so I think I'll just order the 212+. If that giant useless black piece of plastic fits, the cooler should. Thanks animal0307, but I don't really wanna get one of those little ones...

212+ it is! Thank you for all the help everyone! thumb.gif I have some +rep to do...
