[Build Log] Evodot SM8 (i7 3930k Titan, Watercooled) - Page 3

no tripod. Now that I think of it ceiling light was on.

ISO was on auto I was under AV settings Aperture 5.6 (I have a Cannon T3 5.6 is as low as I can get) I will probably go pick up a tripod on the cheap. Only Reason I was considering buying one is because I don't have a box big enough to to the case into once its comes. 22" standard. I was going to go with this 36" thing.

I could probably grab a large box from the office but then tissue paper would have to be taped together. Figured if I had to buy a pack of tissue paper cloth background etc... for 30-60$ I can have a nice box off Amazon. I didn't see any good kits for that range that came with lights that where worth buying. I might just go to staples and pick up cheap desk lamps and put a 100W bulb in them.

I have a t3i as well nice camera
tripod is a must for iso 100 shots
I just got a manfrotto tripod with a ball head......Love it

ceiling light on will mess things up for sure
and no flash

lately I have been using manual on camera
turn scroll wheel to lighten/darken exposure
using live view then hit the 5x zoom + button

and manual focus on camera to get it perfect
hit timer

you have the kit lens i guess

I picked up a 1.8 50mm lens for 100.00
glad I did it takes great picks

check out my buildlog for some pics from my poor mans lightbox

I think you are right. Yeah Im about to buy lightroom Just Playing around for now. I still think I might go for buying the light box for 30$. I made a second box about to post some pictures its a bigger box and was able to move things around a little bit more so we should see here in a second.

I built another Lightbox to retake most of my pictures. Cost zero dollars but it sure makes a world of difference.

Bitspower makes beautiful fittings. I know how to cpachris felt when he took a ton of pictures of his.

Koolance loop filter
Im not sure how well this is going to work. It seems to me that the holes are way to big and they should have been more like a screen.

Microcenter Blackfriday find
I found this guy while waiting in line on black friday. I haven't used him yet but I've had plenty of fun just leaving it on my desk.

AP-15's
These are nice looking fans. I hope they are as good as everyone claims them to be, I however didn't realize they are grey instead of white until I opened them up.

Alphacool UT60
Now I didn't make the box long enough to get this Rad instead but this thing is huge. I was previously using a 240 UT30... I can't even begin to imagine how massive the MONSTA's are. I hope the AP-15's are up to the challenge, pushing air through this does not look like a easy task.

Fans

Thats it for right now. I should be getting my case sometime this week and will post more. I also might be just adding some pictures of products I haven't shown yet as well as buying some different camera equipment. I couldn't figure out how to get the imagine a little bit brighter without blurring them out while taking the shots. It def. helped being in a dark basement rather then in the office during the day.

Ghetto Light box 2.0

Same as before. Tissue paper, box cutter roll of paper instead of taping a bunch of peices together, and a bigger box. Still not large enough for the whole build to fit in so we will see. If anyone knows of a good photo light box kit with good lighting please feel free to add a link. Might try just large poster board when more stuff gets here.

ITX build idea
I was thinking about putting a ITX build in this old wooden car after this build log...HTPC for the TV.

That's pretty neat and cool what you're doing thumb.gif and looks GREAT !

what's your light source ? I finally got round to switching out the regular bulbs for these 27W CFL Photo Light Bulb 5500K and now, can I not only see !! the light is not that ugly yeller.

But I have a point&shoot and wish I had the floor space you do !
